The Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London is celebrating the launch of Disney’s new Cinderella film with a special afternoon tea at its Chinoiserie restaurant.
If you’re a fan of Disney (and look out for a special Disneyland Paris post coming later this year), you’ll probably be keen to see its latest release, Cinderella.
In celebration of the movie, the hotel’s executive chef, Simon Young, has created a bespoke afternoon tea menu that includes special fairytale-themed cakes.
A twist on the British tradition of afternoon tea, the themed extravaganza includes savoury treats of Mull of Kintyre cheddar and tomato marmalade on spinach bread, a smoked Finnan haddock and quail egg tart, and roast Scottish beef with watercress and creamed horseradish in tomato bread. Plus there are sweet surprises including a white chocolate brownie and popping candy wand, a Yuzu macaroon pumpkin carriage and a slipper expertly created from mango tuille.
And there’s classic scones with jam and cream, of course.
The hotel is located on Sloane Street in Knightsbridge and has 216 guest rooms including 58 suites. It is home to the exclusive Peak Health Club & Spa, with a 20 metre indoor swimming pool, and gives its guests easy access to Hyde Park, Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Oh, the glamour!
The Cinderella afternoon tea at Jumeirah Carlton Tower is available until May 11 2015 and costs from £40 per person.
