Christmas trip to Cork with Travelove

If you’re looking for a unique no-fly break this holiday season, consider a personalised Christmas trip to Cork with Travelove

It’s December! And for some last minute holiday inspiration, a pre-Christmas trip to Cork with Travelove is a fab, hassle-free option. Travelove saves time and gives you the opportunity to get to know southwest Ireland like a local.

To give you the gist of the service, the Travelove gurus have put together a sample December itinerary for Feet on the Ground that would cost just £146.17 for two days and two nights, including a superior room for two (with a king-sized bed) at luxury B&B, Garnish House where we’d be treated to homemade scones and tea upon arrival and are promised an “award-winning gourmet breakfast” during the stay.

The joy of Travelove is easy access to local knowledge; the price for the experience includes a personalised guidebook, compiled by an Irish resident. In the guidebook, there’s an itinerary, transportation maps and details on all the experiences that have been devised.

Our sample trip includes a leisurely walk to sample Cork’s shops, restaurants, pubs and street music, a Blackrock walk to a star observatory, an Irish pub tour, a trip to the seaside to see the cliffs at Old Head and a fun-packed evening with a local musician.

Of course, the trip is tailored for us so it’s flight-free: Stena Line operates a car ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare Harbour that takes under four hours and costs £268.00 for a return sailing. A ferry departs on Sunday December 20 at 2:30am and returns on Tuesday December 22 at 9:15pm.

If this trip isn’t quite to your liking, or you’ve already got Christmas sorted, you can contact the Travelove team at any time to devise a trip that is tailored to your timings, preferences and budget.
